On Day 1, we depart from Marrakech at 8:00 am and cross the scenic High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi-n’Tichka pass (2,260m). Along the way, admire panoramic views and picturesque Berber villages. Next, we visit the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site and backdrop to films like Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia. We continue along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, passing through Skoura oasis and the Valley of Roses, before reaching the stunning Dades Gorges, where we’ll spend the night in a traditional guesthouse with dinner and breakfast.

On Day 2, after breakfast, we travel through the beautiful Dades Valley, stopping at Berber villages along the way. In the afternoon, we head towards Merzouga, at the edge of the Sahara Desert. Tonight, you will stay in a hotel at the foot of the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi.

On Day 3, we discover the magic of Merzouga and the Sahara. First, we take a desert tour around the dunes, visiting nomadic families and the village of Khamlia, known for its Gnawa musicians. Enjoy a traditional Berber pizza for lunch in Rissani, then return to Merzouga for your camel trek into the dunes. As the sun sets, you’ll arrive at a desert camp, where you’ll savor a delicious tajine dinner, sip mint tea, and listen to Berber music under a sky full of stars. Overnight in a traditional Sahara camp.

On Day 4, wake up early to watch the spectacular sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast and a shower at the hotel, we begin our journey to Fes. Along the way, we pass through the Ziz Valley, stop for lunch in Midelt, and visit the cedar forests of Azrou, home to Barbary macaques. Finally, we drive through Ifrane, often called “the Switzerland of Morocco,” before arriving in Fes in the evening, where you’ll be dropped off at your accommodation.

The view from the top of the kasbah is magnificent and well worth the climb through its narrow winding alleys.

Our trip continues along the “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs,” passing through the Skoura oasis. We then visit the Valley of Roses (Kelaa M’Gouna), famous for Moroccan roses and rose-based products. Acres of Persian roses are grown and harvested here to create rose water, creams, and soaps loved in Morocco and worldwide.

We continue past the strange rock formations of Tamnalt Hills and arrive at the Dades Gorges, carved by the river over centuries. The dramatic red and mauve rock formations dominate the landscape.
